I concur that e-reading will be a staple of the future of communication is something that instructional designers interested in online learning should be aware of. Beyond a single device, the day is coming when users will be able to electronically read a book or other piece of content in a mobile fashion on any device of their choosing (phone, portable media player, etc.). Thoughts anyone?
iPhone Guided Tour
Apple’s iPhone is due to hit stores in a week. Apple released this 20 minuted guided tour that provides a comprehensive and easy-to-follow tour of the iPhone interface and all the features. I definitely can see an iPhone in my future someday…but not the first rev and not at $499.

Recording audio while giving a presentation
For an upcoming conference presentation that I will be giving, I want to be able to record the audio of my presentation with my laptop while I am delivering the presentation so that at the conclusion of the presentation I will be able to save the audio as a .mp3 and upload as an episode in a presentations podcast I will be developing.
While there are lots of ways to do this with my MacBook Pro, I purchased a simple tie-clip omnidirectional mic from RadioShack and ordered a Griffin iMic from Sweetwater.
